Russian artillery pummels Avdiivka, local coke chemical plant

Avdiivka, Donetsk region, was subjected this morning to massive Russian artillery shelling. The area of the coke chemical plant was also affected.

This was reportrf on Facebook by acting chief of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Ihor Moroz, Ukrinform saw.

"In the Donetsk direction, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka are under fire in the Marinka community. This morning, Avdiivka was subjected to massive artillery shelling —the Avdiivka Coke Chemical Plant’s district is within the affected area," the head of the regional administration wrote.

He noted that four households in Nikiforivka, Rozdolivka, Vasiukivka, and Minkivka were shelled in the Soledar community (Horlivka direction). In the Chasiv Yar community, two households and an industrial building sustained damage. In Toretsk, six buildings, an administrative building, and an infrastructure facility were affected.

Also, according to Moroz, two households in Siversk (Lysychansk direction) were damaged by enemy shelling.

As reported, the Russians killed three residents of Donetsk region in the past day.
