Enemy storming Avdiivka third day in a row – city administration
Vitaliy Barabash, the head of the Avdiivka City Ministry Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports
"For the third day in a row, the enemy has been heavily storming Avdiivka, pressing from all sides. Several dozens of airstrikes have been launched in the past day alone. The situation is very difficult. But it is under control," he wrote.
Barabash noted that more than 1,000 residents still remain in the city, their lives are under threat around the clock. Civilians in Avdiivka die under fire almost every day.
Barabash once again called on all city residents to evacuate.
"Friends, get your family and friends ready to evacuate! We will evacuate! It is much more pleasant to live in safety! Evacuation saves lives! And we are here. We are working. No matter how hard it is! Together to Victory! Glory to Ukraine!" the city administration’s head posted.
As reported, the Russian occupiers are continuing their attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
As of the morning of December 22, 2023, 1,214 residents remained in Avdiivka.
