In occupied Melitopol, residents note intensified activity of Russian Air Force
That’s according to Melitopol Mayor in exile Ivan Fedorov, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, reports Ukrinform.
"Our residents report that the enemy's military aircraft have become active as people they hear them roar almost every day. It has never been the case that such a number of enemy aircraft flew over the temporarily occupied city," the mayor said.
Fedorov also commented on the reports of the explosions that rocked the city and the nearby village of Semenivka the other day.
"As for Melitopol, the explosions were heard in the southern part of the city, where the enemy captured several industrial enterprises to set up their headquarters," he clarified.
The mayor added that the enemy had placed ammunition depots on the premises of these enterprises, and assumed that they were destroyed a few days ago.
As for the village of Semenivka, one of the military bases, which the invaders seized from the first days of the full-scale invasion, the other day. So, most likely, the explosions occurred there.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian troops are trying to restore the defensive line built by the Nazis during World War 2.
