Russia launches nearly 125 missile strikes, over 400 airstrikes on Ukraine last week

This was announced by the spokesman for the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Andriy Kovalev, who spoke on the air of the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"In total, over 370 combat clashes took place. Last week, the enemy launched about 125 missile strikes and over 400 airstrikes, as well as 320 attacks involving multiple rocket launchers, on the positions of our troops and civil infrastructure," Kovalev said.

He added that the enemy continues offensive operations in the Kupiansk sector, where last week Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled more than 30 assaults.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three enemy attacks east of Terny, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut area last week, the enemy unleashed assaults in the Orikhove district of Donetsk region.

"In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy continues offensive operations, having launched more than 170 assaults on the positions of our troops in the Novobakhmutivka, Berdychiv, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske areas in Donetsk region, where our soldiers inflicted considerable losses on the enemy in terms of manpower and heavy weapons," Kovalev said.

He added that in the Marinka direction, the Russians are on the offensive toward Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka settlements in Donetsk region. According to the official, Ukrainian units repelled nearly 50 assaults there.

"Last week in the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy launched over 20 unsuccessful assaults in the area north of Priyutne, west of Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region," the spokesman said.

He also noted that in the Kherson direction, Russian invaders are focusing their main efforts on defense, upgrading minefields and logistical support routes, as well as launching airstrikes and artillery barrages on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements across Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

As reported earlier referring to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, 35 combat clashes took place along the frontline in the past day.
