Russian troops launch 18 attacks on border areas in Sumy region

Russian troops shelled the border settlements of Ukraine's northeastern Sumy region 18 times on January 8.
The regional military administration announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"During the day, the Russians carried out 18 shelling attacks on the border territories and settlements of the Sumy region. Sixty-one explosions caused by mortars, artillery and the use of FPV drones were recorded. The communities of Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Esman, and Seredyna Buda came under fire," the post said.
It added that the largest number of explosions – 21 - were heard in the Krasnopillia community.
The enemy shelled the region with mortars, FPV drones, and artillery and dropped mines.
