Ukrainian paratrooper destroys four Russian armored vehicles in one battle
This was reported on Facebook by the Brigade’s press service, Ukrinform saw.
Recalling the experience, Junior Sergeant Andriy “Sedoi” G. said the enemy once again tried to penetrate the unit’s defense lines, deploying five armored vehicles and infantry on an assault effort.
The attempt failed as the equipment was destroyed and most of the attacking infantrymen were eliminated.
“Sedoi”, who is assigned to the unit as an anti-tank gunman, managed to destroy four of the attacking armored vehicles, including a tank and an armored personnel carrier, using a Javelin anti-tank missile system, thus effectively thwarting the enemy assault.
The effort brought his personal count of obliterated Russian hardware to 22, the brigade command noted.
The intensity of hostilities in the zone where the Tavria paratroopers are fighting is evidenced by enemy losses in the first days of the year. Maroon berets have already hit 29 armored fighting vehicles and killed in action over 200 invaders.
As reported earlier, Mykolaiv paratroopers with the 79th Brigade shot down four Russian kamikaze drones and a bomber FPV drone.
