The Canadian Armed Forces will not cease their efforts to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression.
That’s according to the Chief of the Canadian Defense Staff, General Wayne Eyre, who made the statement via X, Ukrinform reports.
"Today is Ukraine’s Unity Day!” he wrote Monday. “The Canadian Armed Forces stand in solidarity with you and are determined to provide further training and support for the brave heroes defending Ukraine's sovereignty."
He emphasized that "together we stand strong".
It should be recalled that as part of Operation UNIFIER, since 2015, Canadian instructors have trained over 39,000 Ukrainian recruits. After Russia unleashed a full-scale invasion, Canadian instructors left Ukraine’s territory, but within a few months training sessions were resumed in the UK, Poland, and Latvia.
