Ukraine's General Staff reports 56 combat clashes on front lines in past day

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a morning update published on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

"In total, the enemy launched 48 missile strikes and 112 air strikes and carried out 73 attacks using multiple rocket launchers against the positions of our troops and settlements. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks led to civilian casualties, among them children. More than 200 civilian infrastructure facilities in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, Kharkiv and Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region were destroyed and damaged," the update said.

At the same time, in the past 24 hours, Russian occupiers launched another aerial attack, using six Shahed-136/131 strike drones. Ukrainian air defenses destroyed one enemy drone.

Air strikes were launched in Kozacha Lopan, Lyptsi and Hatyshche in the Kharkiv region, Makiivka, Bilohorivka and Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region, Terny, Serebrianka, Siversk, Bohdanivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region; Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, Kachkarivka, Mylove and Beryslav in the Kherson region.

More than 150 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

The situation in the area of responsibility of the North operational and strategic group of troops in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remains largely unchanged.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna sectors, the enemy maintains its military presence in the border areas, conducting subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous sectors and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops on the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Synkivka, Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four enemy attacks near Yampolivka and Torske in the Donetsk region and two more attacks near Bilohorivka and Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, Ukraine's defense forces repelled three enemy attacks outside Bohdanivka, Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops in the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back enemy attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers hold their ground, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. In the past day, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka and 11 more attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka sector, Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled.

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations on the Shakhtarske axis.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks south of Chervone and west of Verbove and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational and strategic group of troops in the Kherson sector, the defense forces continue to take measures to expand a bridgehead. Despite significant losses, the enemy still attempts to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. In the past day, the enemy made seven unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the past day, Ukrainian aircraft struck ten areas of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, two anti-aircraft missile systems and a command post. Also, Ukrainian air defenses shot down 15 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles, five Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and two Kh-59 guided air missiles.

Ukrainian rocket forces struck an area of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, two air defense systems, nine artillery pieces and an electronic warfare station of the enemy.
