Three waves of shelling in Kharkiv on January 23 damaged 226 buildings
The Kharkiv City Council reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reported.
"There is information that 226 residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling, 45 of them are private. Most of the damage was recorded in the Kyivskyi district - 119 residential buildings. Buildings in Kholodnohirsk and Saltivka districts were also damaged. In total, more than 5.5 thousand windows were smashed (more than 4.2 thousand windows have already been covered by the utility services)," the statement said.
In addition, 28 non-residential buildings were damaged. There are more than 1.2 thousand broken windows, of which more than 200 are already covered, the city council noted.
As reported, on January 23, at about 4:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., Russian troops launched rocket attacks on the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv. 10 people were killed, including a child, and more than 70 people were injured. 112 apartment buildings and several private houses were damaged.
At around 10:00 p.m., Russian troops launched rocket attacks on the center of Kharkiv and the Kholodnohirskyi district. The destruction of buildings, offices, shops, and food establishments were recorded. Nine people were injured, including a four-year-old child.
January 25 was declared a day of mourning in the city.
