Kremlin is not going to stop violence: Ukraine tells OSCE about latest shelling

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the meeting was convened by the Maltese Chairmanship at the request of the Ukrainian delegation in connection with Russia's massive missile attacks on Ukrainian cities in recent weeks.

The Ukrainian mission emphasized that during the attacks, "critical and civilian infrastructure was among Russia's key targets."

"The convening of today's meeting was fully justified. All these attacks clearly demonstrate Russia's real attitude to its OSCE commitments. And what can we expect from a delegation that considers calls to respect human life, territorial integrity and sovereignty of neighbors - the principles of the UN Charter and the Helsinki Final Act, on the basis of which the Ukrainian peace formula was developed - as "ultimatums", as we heard yesterday?" - said Victoria Kuvshynnykova, Acting Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna.

She emphasized that last year, 6,000 air raids were sounded in Ukraine.

"The new attacks in 2024 are a stark reminder that the Kremlin regime is not going to stop using violence... The latest rhetoric of Russian officials leaves no doubt about what Ukraine can expect from Moscow - the destruction of the Ukrainian people and the dismemberment of the Ukrainian state," the diplomat added.

In this context, Kuvshynnikova called for providing Ukraine with additional air defense systems and ammunition, combat drones of all types and long-range missiles, as well as approving the use of frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine.
