War update: Ukraine reports 94 combat clashes on front lines in past 24 hours

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

The operational situation in the east and south of the country remains difficult.

In the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched eight missile strikes (with S-300 air defense missiles against civilian infrastructure in Myrnohrad and Novohradivka, Donetsk region, and Antonivka, Kherson region) and carried out 38 attacks using multiple rocket launchers against the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, civilians were killed and injured. Apartment blocks, private houses, schools, kindergartens, a shopping center and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The situation in the area of responsibility of the North operational and strategic group of troops in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remains largely unchanged.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna sectors, the enemy maintains its military presence in the border areas, conducting subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous sectors and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region. Artillery and mortar strikes were recorded in more than 35 settlements, including Yeline, Halahanivka and Leonivka in the Chernihiv region, Popivka, Volfyne and Veselivka in the Sumy region, as well as Veterynarne, Nesterne and Komisarove in the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 attacks near Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy tried to break through Ukrainian defenses. More than ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled seven attacks near Terny and Torske, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops. More than ten settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Nevske, Bilohorivka and Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region and Torske, Serebrianka and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian forces repelled ten attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where the invaders unsuccessfully tried to improve their tactical position. About ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka and New York of the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks outside Novobakhmutivka, Stepove and Avdiivka and nine attacks near Opytne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through Ukrainian defenses. About ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Oleksandropil, Novobakhmutivka, Ocheretyne, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Netailovye of the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka sector, Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the invaders near Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. Here, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position 14 times. Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka and Yelyzavetivka came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Shakhtarske sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Zolota Nyva, Donetsk region. More than ten settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine of the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Ukrainian military repelled five enemy attacks north of Pryiutne, south of Chervone, and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhia region. More than 15 settlements, including Charivne, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Lobkove, Piatykhatky, Stepnohirsk, and Plavni in the Zaporizhzhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational and strategic group of troops in the Kherson sector, the enemy launched artillery strikes on Kherson, Mykolaivka, Tiahynka, Novotiahynka and Antonivka in the Kherson region and Solonchaky in the Mykolaiv region.

The Russian army also shelled the areas of Ivanivka, Tokarivka and Tomyna Balka in the Kherson region with multiple rocket launchers.

"The enemy does not give up its intention to drive our units out of the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Throughout the day, the enemy carried out four unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops," the General Staff said.
