Enemy intensifies shelling and tries to attack in Kupiansk-Lyman direction

This was reported by Volodymyr Fitio, head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the air of the Espresso TV channel, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, and in general in the entire area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, the enemy does not abandon its intention to conduct attacks. More than 20 attacks were repelled in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions (over the last day - ed.). Combat actions took place near Tabaivka, Stelmakhivka, Terny, and Yampolivka. Here the enemy used 32 kamikaze drones against Ukrainian positions and made 533 artillery attacks," said Fitio.

According to him, a very large number of artillery attacks indicates that Russia has switched its focus to them.

"Our defenders managed to repel the enemy attacks and killed 245 Russians. Also, 32 pieces of military equipment were destroyed or damaged, including 2 BMPs, two armored personnel carriers, and one armored personnel carrier," noted Fitio.

The head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that Russia is currently actively using equipment to support its attacks, and a lot of it has already been burned. "But this does not stop the enemy, and he is trying to continue to advance in these directions," he informed.

As reported, in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 Russian attacks near Tabaivka, in the Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka, in the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled eight Russian attacks near Terny and Torske in the Donetsk region.
