War update: 73 clashes since day-start, situation tense in Pokrovsk, Kupiansk axes

Since the beginning of the day, 73 combat engagements were reported along the front lines, of which the most intense were seen in the Pokrovsk and Kupiansk axes.

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

Kupiansk axis: the enemy has intensified their efforts, having already carried out 11 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders. Three clashes are ongoing near Stelmakhivka, Berestove, and Terny.

Siversk axis: the enemy carried out nine assaults. Seven attacks were held back by Ukrainian units in the Rozdolivka and Ivano-Daryivka districts. The invaders also employ aviation in the area.

Kramatorsk axis: four clashes are currently underway in the areas of Ivanivske and Alebastrove. One attack has been repelled.

Pokrovsk axis: enemy forces remain active continues in the areas of Novo-oleksandrivka Persha and Ptyche. Nearly 30 offensive attempts have been recorded since day-start.

Kurakhove axis: Ukrainian soldiers stood in the way of nine enemy attacks. The situation is under control.

Prydniprovska axis: near Krynky, Ukrainian defenders repelled another enemy attack. The total number of clashes in the area increased to three.

In the rest of the frontline sectors, the situation did not undergo any significant changes.

The General Staff added that Russian artillery opened fire from across the border on populated areas in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Among the affected settlements are Pavlivka, Seredyna Buda, Pokivka, Kliuchy, Lisne, and Kindrativka.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a total of over 860 combat clashes took place at the front in the past week. Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled the largest number of Russian assaults in the Pokrovsk and Kramatorsk axes.
