Blast at Russian ammo depot in Belgorod region leaves seven soldiers injured

In Russia’s Belgorod region, a field ammunition depot caught fire following an explosion.

Seven soldiers were injured in the incident, Ukrinform reports, referring to ASTRA.

The depot was located near the village of Gremuchy, some 39 km north of Belgorod and 63 km from the Ukrainian border.

All soldiers affected required hospitalization.

As per tentative reports, the blast was caused by careless ammunition handling.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine hit Russia’s S-300/400 air defense system in Belgorod region bordering the Ukrainian region of Kharkiv.
