Russian troops fired 2,200 times at Ukraine in past 24 hours - General Staff

The Russian forces fired 2,200 times at Ukrainian positions, towns and villages in the past 24 hours.

Andriy Kovaliov, the spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on Ukrainian television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The Russian occupiers launched three missile attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas using 8 missiles, 62 air strikes, including 56 guided aerial bombs, carried out 2,200 attacks, including 128 with the use of multiple launch rocket systems," he said.

Kovaliov noted that over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit five enemy manpower clusters, one artillery unit, two ammunition depots, and four air defense systems.

According to him, the enemy's total losses over the past day reached 1,290 troops, 15 tanks, 18 armored combat vehicles, 65 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, 3 air defense systems, 27 operational and tactical-level UAVs, 69 vehicles, and 12 units of special equipment.

As reported, the Russian army’s total combat losses in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to June 4, 2024 amounted to nearly 512,420 troops.
