Russians set up filtration camp in temporarily occupied part of Vovchansk – Syniehubov
Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, said this on Ukrainian television, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"People have nowhere to return. We understand that they will spend the winter and possibly the next year in places of compact residence or other accommodation they will find. Few people remain on the territory under occupation and are used by the enemy as human shields, and, according to our information, filtration camps have been set up there," the regional governor said.
According to him, up to 50 residents remain in the part of Vovchansk controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The military and police are evacuating people.
As reported, street fighting is raging in Vovchansk. Part of the city is controlled by Russian occupation forces.
