General Staff: Situation is tense in Pokrovsk, Kurakhove sectors

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 10:30, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the beginning of the day, 29 combat engagements have already taken place. The enemy fired 570 times at the positions of our troops and settlements, 18 of them with the use of multiple launch rocket systems. The aggressor also launched one missile attack with two missiles and 32 strikes with kamikaze drones," the statement said.

It is noted that there were no active enemy attacks in the Kharkiv sector today. Over the past day, the total losses of the invaders in this sector amounted to 179 troops, including 42 killed, and 31 units of weapons and military equipment. An armored combat vehicle, an artillery system, nine UAVs, four vehicles and seven units of special equipment were destroyed. A tank, two artillery systems and five vehicles were damaged.

In the Kharkiv sector, no active enemy assaults have been recorded today. In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops are attacking in the vacuity of Druzheliubivka. The situation is under control. According to the updated information, the enemy lost 126 personnel as killed or wounded in action in this sector yesterday. Three armored personnel carriers and one vehicle were destroyed.

In the Siversk sector, the enemy has launched one attack in the vicinity of Bilohorivka since the beginning of the day.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian assault operations were unsuccessful, and the battle continues in the Ivanivske area.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the situation has been tense since the beginning of the day. The invaders are trying to advance in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Yevhenivka, Sokol, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. Four enemy attacks have been repelled. Six combat engagements are ongoing. Defense forces are taking measures to stabilize the situation. Over the past day, the enemy’s losses in this sector amounted to over 440 troops. Onee tank, three AFVs, seven cannons and mortars, and one ground drone were destroyed.

In the Kurakhove sector, the situation remains tense in the areas of Paraskoviivka and Krasnohorivka, where two combat clashes are taking place. The situation is under the control of the Defense Forces.

In the Vremivka sector, five combat engagements have taken place in the areas of Urozhaine and Novodarivka since the beginning of the day. Three unsuccessful Russian attacks were repelled, and fighting continued in the area of Urozhaine.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy's actions were unsuccessful in the vicinity of Mala Tokmachka.

In the Dnipro River sector, the Russian army made two unsuccessful attempts to attack in the area of Krynky.

The occupiers have not conducted active offensive actions in other sectors, the General Staff said.
