General Staff: Enemy increases activity in Siversk sector, eight combat engagements ongoing in Pokrovsk sector

Since the beginning of the day, 69 combat engagements have taken place on the front lines.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a situation update as of 19:00 on Wednesday, June 6, Ukrinform reports.

"The total number of enemy attacks along the entire frontline since the beginning of the day is 69. The enemy continues to use aircraft and attack in several directions," the General Staff reported.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops have already used 20 guided aerial bombs from the RF territory, in particular from the Belgorod and Shebekino areas in the Belgorod region. The areas of Vovchansk, Neskuchne and Bilyi Kolodiaz came under bombardment. No enemy assault actions have been reported so far.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops used unguided aerial missiles in the vicinity of Stelmakhivka. Fighting continues in the Miasozharivka area.

According to preliminary information, Russian invaders lost 55 troops as killed or wounded in the Lyman sector today. Ukrainian defenders damaged one enemy vehicle and one armored personnel carrier. In total, the enemy attempted to attack in the sector nine times.

In the Siversk sector, enemy activity increased in the area of Verkhniokamianske. Four combat clashes were recorded.

In the Pokrovsk sector, eight combat engagements are ongoing, including in the vicinity of Prohres. The sector remains one of the hottest. Russians are also using aircraft. Today, Novoselivka Persha, Prohres, and Karlivka were attacked by enemy guided aerial bombs.

In the Kurakhove sector, Kostiantynivka came under bombardment.

The enemy became significantly more active in the Vremivka sector, with fighting continuing in the areas of Urozhaine and Staromaiorske. The total number of attacks increased to nine.

The number of new enemy attempts to attack increased in the Orikhiv and the Dnipro River sectors.

In other sectors, the situation has not changed significantly.
