Ukraine's Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin and Executive Director of The Reckoning Project Janine di Giovanni have signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation.

The Prosecutor General's Office said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, The Reckoning Project has been doing a brilliant job of collecting evidence of enemy war crimes and promoting international justice processes through the mechanisms of universal jurisdiction," Kostin said.

He added that "the Prosecutor General's Office highly values cooperation with The Reckoning Project, and the signing of the memorandum is another step toward its strengthening."

"We continue our joint efforts so that no one involved in committing international crimes against Ukraine could hide from justice anywhere in the world," Kostin said.

A selection of documentaries about Russian war crimes in Ukraine was screened at the Recoleta Cultural Center in Buenos Aires. The films were shot by a team of Ukrainian and international journalists, lawyers and analysts as part of the initiative "The Reckoning Project: Ukraine Testifies."

The Reckoning Project documents war crimes committed on Ukrainian territory. The team records the testimony of victims of all types of crimes listed in the Geneva Conventions.
