More than 75,000 war crimes of Russian Federation relate to shelling of civilian infrastructure - Prosecutor General's Office

This was announced by Denys Lysenko, a representative of the Department for Combating War Crimes Committed in Armed Conflict of the Prosecutor General's Office, during a workshop for journalists on the international law of armed conflict, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Lysenko, out of 129,000 war crimes, more than 75,000 relate to the shelling of civilian infrastructure.

In turn, the deputy head of the department, Taras Semkiv, said that Russia had carried out 363 strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities, including 159 this year.

Semkiv also informed that Ukrainian law enforcement officers have identified 13 places of detention in Russia where Ukrainian prisoners are held, as well as 120 in the temporarily occupied territories.

More than 2,200 of the 3,200 former prisoners have already been interviewed about the circumstances of their captivity in Russia, he added.
