Russia 26 times shells Sumy region on Saturday

On Saturday, June 8, the Russian army 26 times shelled territories and settlements in Sumy region close to the border, where a total of 59 explosions were recorded.

That’s according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reports Ukrinform.

"Mykolaiv, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Seredyno-Buda, Znob-Novgorodskyi, Shalyhine, Esman, Velyka Pysarivka, Krolevets, and Nova Slobidka communities came under fire," the report says.

Artillery shelling (one explosion) and an FPV drone attack (two explosions) were recorded in the Mykolaiv community. Similarly, the enemy attacked the Velikopysarivka community, using artillery and a drone (three and one explosion, respectively)

The Russians shelled Khotyn, Znob-Novgorodskyi, and Novoslobidka communities using mortars (two, three, and 10 explosions, respectively).

The Bilopillia community came under Russia’s mortar (two explosions) and artillery (four explosions) fire.

At the Krasnopillia and Krolevets communities, Russian troops fired artillery (11 and two explosions, respectively).

A Russian FPV drone attack (one explosion), mortar (four explosions) and artillery (four explosions) strikes were recorded in the Seredyno-Buda community.

The Shalyhine community was hit by Russian artillery (two explosions) and an FPV drone (one explosion).

The Russians attacked the Esman community with an FPV drone (two blasts) and shelled it using mortars (four explosions).

As reported earlier, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artiukh, said that since year-start, 50 civilians have been killed across the region as a result of Russian shelling.
