Ukrainian air defenses intercept 5 missiles, 24 drones overnight

Ukraine's air defense units shot down a Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missile, four Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 24 Shahed-131/136 attack drones in the early hours of Wednesday, June 12.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force Command reported this on Facebook.
In particular, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 30 missiles and drones, including:
- 4 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles launched from Tu-95 MS strategic bombers in Russia's Saratov region;
- 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from Crimea;
- 1 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missile launched from Russia's Tambov region;
- 24 Shahed-131/136 attack drones launched from Yeisk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Anti-aircraft missile units of the Ukrainian Air Force and mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the enemy's aerial attack.
Ukrainian air defenders shot down 29 missiles and drones, including:
- 1 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missile;
- 4 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;
- 24 Shahed-131/136 strike drones.
The targets were destroyed in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Vinnytsia regions.
