Two police officers injured in Russian drone strike in Kupyansk
This was reported on Facebook by the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, Ukrinform reports.
"On 13 June, at about 16:50, the Russian occupation forces, in violation of the laws and customs of war, fired on the city of Kupyansk. An enemy FPV drone hit the carriageway while a police car was moving along the road. Two police officers of the Kupyansk district police department sustained acute injuries," the statement said.
At the time of the shelling, the policemen were in their car. They were taken to a medical facility with explosive injuries.
The police added that the condition of a 60-year-old passer-by, who also sustained injuries, was of moderate severity.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported, on 13 June, at around 16:40, a Russian FPV drone hit the road surface in Kupyansk. The explosion damaged a Kupyansk-Kharkiv bus. A 60-year-old passer-by was injured when the drone hit the ground at around 16:50.
