One dead, six injured amid Russian strikes targeting Kharkiv region on Wednesday
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office reported this via Telegram, Ukrinform saw.
According to law enforcement, at approximately 16:20, Russian troops launched airstrikes on Kharkiv. In the Kyivskyi district, in a children's summer camp, a 39-year-old employee was injured. In addition, in the Shevchenkivskyi district, two hits were recorded on the territory of another children's camp, as a result of which a 47-year-old employee suffered an acute reaction to stress, and a nearby private residential building was damaged.
Around 16:30, a residential area in the village of Vilkhivka, Kharkiv district, was targeted by a Russian airstrike. A 49-year-old woman was killed and a 59-year-old man was injured.
According to tentative reports, the Russians used during the strikes on Kharkiv and Vilkhivka modified UMPB D-30 gliding bombs, launched from the territory of Belgorod region, the prosecutor's office informed.
In addition, at approximately 16:00, Russian troops launched an airstrike on the village of Novo-osynove of Kupiansk district. A number of households and a private car were damaged. A 51-year-old resident was hospitalized with injuries, a 73-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man suffered concussions.
During the day, Russian artillery opened fire on the village of Zahryzove in the Izium district, where nearly a dozen of residential buildings were damaged.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into violations of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the invaders hit Kharkiv using three gliding bombs.
