In the area of Dubovo, Russia’s Belgorod region, a missile hit a Pantsir-S surface-to-air missile launcher.

This was reported by the Astra Telegram channel with reference to local outlets.

According to the report, the system was hit by cluster munitions. The crew allegedly survived the strike.

Witnesses saw plumes of black smoke rising above the impact site.

The Novaya Gazeta. Europe newspaper clarifies that the smoke was rising from the area close to the City Mall on the outskirts of Belgorod, which is formally located in the village of Dubovo. The publication also posted showing the smoke rising, with a female voice saying off camera: “This is our air defense. What should we do now? They won't be able to intercept missiles now."

Pantsir-S is a Russian self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system.

As reported with reference to ISW, the destruction of Russian air defense systems in Belgorod region prompted the Russian command to pull air defense equipment to the area, taking it from the temporarily occupied Crimea, which in turn worsened Russia’s air defense network on the peninsula.
