Russia’s strike on Kharkiv: One killed, eight wounded

One person was killed and eight more were injured in Russia’s attack on the city of Kharkiv on Sunday afternoon.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the enemy hit a private household. One garage and outbuildings caught fire. Five people were injured there.

"We also know about three more victims in another district of the city. The enemy hit a children's educational institution there," added Terekhov.

As reported, on June 23, around 15:00, Russia launched an air strike on Kharkiv. According to the city council and the regional administration, critical infrastructure and the private sector were hit.

Following the strikes, the subway and ground transport stopped operation. There was no electricity or water supply in parts of the city.

As of 15:30, one person was reported dead and four wounded.
