CinC Syrskyi names priorities for reducing battlefield losses
Syrskyi said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
Ukraine's top military commander discussed these issues with commanders responsible for training in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, representatives of training centers, territorial centers for recruitment and social support, the command of the Medical Forces, combat medics, volunteers and public figures who support the Ukrainian Armed Forces throughout the war.
"Quality training, effective medical care and technological advantage -- we are creating a universal system for each unit, the key priority of which is to save the lives of our soldiers," Syrskyi said.
According to him, "the reduction of losses during hostilities depends on many factors and circumstances."
"The key is quality training of fighters. There is much work to be done in this area. I am convinced that the training of military personnel must be constantly improved so that their training meets the actual challenges of the combat situation," Syrskyi said.
The technological component, which affects the preservation of the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, was also discussed.
"One of the areas is the maximum provision of the Ukrainian Defense Forces with modern unmanned systems of various modifications and the development of robotic platforms. To speed up this work, we have formed a new type of army - the Unmanned Systems Forces. It is the technologies that must fight, saving the lives of our soldiers," Syrskyi said.
According to him, "another extremely important aspect is the provision of medical care to those wounded directly on the battlefield, as well as timely and maximally safe evacuation, in particular, using ground robotic platforms. Of course, it is extremely important to provide each fighter with quality individual medical first-aid kits."
On behalf of all Ukrainian Defense Forces, Syrskyi thanked volunteers, public figures and organizations for their tangible support.
"Your suggestions and visions are important and will be taken into account in the work," he said.
"We continue to work on a comprehensive approach to preserving the life and health of service members. The lives of soldiers are the highest value," Syrskyi said.
