Demchenko: Russian subversive reconnaissance groups' activity in Sumy direction decreased
This was reported by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, on the air of the United News telethon, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Over the past period, we have seen a decrease in the activity of enemy subversive reconnaissance groups in the Sumy region, but it has not completely disappeared, and the threat of sabotage by the enemy does not disappear," Demchenko said.
According to him, the enemy does not have enough force and means to invade the Sumy direction, but it is necessary to be prepared for any situation.
The SBGS spokesman noted that the Russian army could expand the area of active combat operations, as is happening in the Kharkiv region, to force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to keep a large number of forces and equipment there. He added that the most difficult situation is currently in the Kharkiv direction, where the enemy is replenishing resources and continuing attacks.
As reported, earlier Demchenko said that the sudden inspection of the combat readiness of the troops announced in Belarus does not pose a threat to Ukraine today.
