Fifty-two Azovstal steelworks fighters are among the 90 Ukrainian defenders who returned from Russian captivity on Tuesday, June 25.

Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Wonderful day. The campaign, as part of which 90 of our people have already returned home, is ongoing. These are military personnel from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, State Border Guard Service. Among them are 52 Azovstal defenders, captives from the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant... We are waiting for a continuation in the near future," Yermak said.

He said the key goal for Ukraine is "to return all our people home so that every soldier hugs their relatives, sets foot on their native land, and breathes free air."

"The President's task is to return everyone. I am thankful to our team for their work. I am grateful to the UAE for facilitating the exchange. We will bring everyone back," Yermak said.
