Russian army kills 551 children, injures 1,401 more in Ukraine
“More than 1,952 children in Ukraine have suffered from the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of June 26, 2024, according to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 551 children were killed and more than 1,401 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine posted on Telegram.
Most children were affected in the Donetsk region - 547, Kharkiv region - 395, Kherson region - 152, Dnipropetrovsk region - 151, Kyiv - 130, Zaporizhzhia region - 108, Mykolaiv region - 107.
On June 23, two boys aged 15 and 16 were injured as the Russian army shelled Kharkiv.
On the same day, two boys aged 10 and 13 were injured in the shelling of Selydove in the Donetsk region.
On June 24, three girls aged 9, 11, and 13 and two boys aged 12 and 16 were injured as a result of the Russian shelling of Druzhkivka and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
