Ukraine signs security agreements with Lithuania and Estonia

On 27 June, three bilateral agreements on security cooperation were signed in Brussels: in addition to the agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, the other two were signed with Lithuania and Estonia.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, before the start of the European Council's working session, the leaders of Ukraine and the EU signed the Joint Security Commitments between the European Union and Ukraine in the presence of the leaders of the EU member states. The document was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, President of the European Council Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

In addition, a bilateral agreement on security cooperation between the two countries was signed with the participation of the Presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda.

Also, before the start of the European Council's working session, a bilateral agreement on security cooperation and long-term support between Ukraine and Estonia was signed with the participation of Zelensky and Estonian Prime Minister Kai Kallas.

As reported, on 27 June, a two-day meeting of the European Council began in Brussels, with one of the main issues being the strengthening of the EU's military and economic assistance to Ukraine. At the beginning of the European Council, EU leaders met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
