President Volodymyr Zelensky has said after Saturday's missile attack on the Zaporizhzhia region that to overcome Russian terror, it is necessary to destroy the terrorists where they are, eliminating Russian missile launchers and hitting them with long-range weapons.

Zelensky said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Seven people, including two children, were killed by a Russian missile strike in the Zaporizhzhia region. At the moment, we know about eleven injured people, three of them are children. Unfortunately, the number of casualties may still increase," Zelensky said.

According to him, Ukrainian cities and communities suffer from such Russian attacks every day.

"But there are ways to overcome this -- by destroying the terrorists where they are, eliminating Russian missile launchers, hitting them with long-range weapons, and increasing the number of modern air defense systems in Ukraine," Zelensky said.

He thanked the partners who are helping Ukraine. However, according to him, the decisions that Ukrainians will need must be accelerated.

"Any delay in making decisions in this war means the loss of more human lives," Zelensky said.

Seven people were killed and ten others were wounded after Russian forces launched a missile strike on Vilniansk, near Zaporizhzhia, on June 29.
