Russian shelling in Kherson region leaves one dead, seven injured

One person was killed and seven others were injured in Russia's shelling of the Kherson region on Sunday, June 30.

That's according to the press service of the National Police, Ukrinform reports.

"This morning, the Russians attacked Beryslav from a drone. A 30-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after an enemy munition was dropped," the report reads.

In addition, according to the National Police, at dawn, the Russian army launched an airstrike with ten guided bombs on settlements in the Kherson and Beryslav districts. The attack damaged six apartment buildings and a kindergarten in Naddniprianske and injured five people.

President Volodymyr Zelensky called on international partners to strengthen Ukrainian aircraft to destroy Russian warplanes carrying aerial bombs. This week alone, the enemy dropped more than 800 guided aerial bombs from such aircraft.
