Umerov, Austin to meet at Pentagon on July 2

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will hold a meeting at the Pentagon on Tuesday, July 2, to discuss cooperation, the strengthening of partnership, as well as regional security issues.
Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said this at a briefing on Monday, July 1, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will visit the Pentagon tomorrow to meet with Secretary Austin. This visit underscores the ongoing commitment of the United States to support Ukraine's sovereignty and security," she said.
She added that the parties would discuss the bilateral defense cooperation, regional security issues and ways to strengthen the defense partnership between the United States and Ukraine.
