The day before, Ukrainian aircraft struck a Russian ammunition depot in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Ukrainian aircraft allegedly 'destroyed' by enemy propaganda continue to successfully perform combat missions, carry out missile and bomb strikes on the occupiers' positions and eliminate important military facilities in the enemy's deep rear. On July 1, 2024, Ukrainian pilots delivered a devastating strike on an ammunition depot in Crimea," Oleshchuk said.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russia's combat losses in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and July 2, 2024 amounted to about 545,090 troops, including 1,280 soldiers killed or wounded in action in the past 24 hours.
