Russians attack evacuation vehicle near Toretsk, two paramedics wounded
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Police officers arrived at the frontline to save a woman with a stroke and her husband. At that moment, an enemy shell hit the cab of the car, wounding two paramedics. The couple was not injured.
"A flash, a shock wave, a flurry of shrapnel. We were lucky that the door of our armored car did not jam, otherwise, we would have burned to death," said paramedic Ruslan Hubanov, call sign "Kasper."
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Hubanov has already saved more than 160 people. Both paramedics are currently undergoing treatment and are eager to return to duty.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that the evacuation of residents in the Toretsk community continues. 711 people have already been evacuated.
As reported, Russian troops fired 2,511 times in the Donetsk region over the past day, damaging 61 civilian objects.
