Kuleba: To change situation in war, we need permission to strike at territory of Russian Federation and more ammunition

According to Ukrinform, this was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, LRT reports.

Kuleba noted that certain decisions are already being made by the Ukrainian side to change the trends at the front regarding the Russian offensive. However, there are two main decisions that Ukraine's partners must make.

"First of all, I will mention the permission to use Western weapons outside the border of Ukraine against Russian military facilities," the minister said.

According to him, the most important thing is to destroy Russian bombers at airfields and in the air. The most painful point for Ukraine's ground forces is "just an endless number of guided bombs that are dropped on our ground forces."

"They massively destroy and kill, and sometimes they just level positions to the ground and there is nothing left to defend. Therefore, as soon as we manage to eliminate the threat of aerial bombardment, our ground positions will be strengthened, and it will be very difficult for Russia to advance," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.

He also said that the second solution, the most important for changing the situation at the front, is to increase the supply of ammunition. Combined, these two new factors will have a tangible effect.

"If we protect our [armed] forces from Russian guided bombs, if we have enough artillery and ammunition to destroy Russian columns and units on the move, it will be a huge investment in changing the situation on the battlefield," Kuleba emphasized.

He also noted that artillery shells are being delivered, but there should be more of them and they should be delivered faster. Solutions are also being prepared that will allow bombers to be destroyed on Russian territory, which requires long-range missiles or a sufficient number of air defense systems and interceptors.

The Foreign Minister expressed confidence that sooner or later these decisions would be made. And Ukraine is now asking its partners to do so as soon as possible.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense and the restoration of the energy system.
