The Dutch government "generally does not rule out" participation in the French initiative to organize training for Ukrainian military in Ukraine.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to De Volkskrant.

"The government "generally does not rule out" that the Netherlands will take part in the French initiative to organize military training in Ukraine. However, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans noted that it is too early to take a final position on this issue," the statement said.

It is noted that the Netherlands wants to see how the discussion on this issue develops and does not want to take a final position at this time.

Brekelmans noted that it is always necessary to weigh the added value and risks.

"And this should involve a broad coalition of countries with the support of the most important NATO allies," he said.

As Ukrinform reported, French President Emmanuel Macron said he wants to finally form a coalition of countries ready to send instructors to Ukraine in the near future.
