Russian army shells community in Pokrovsk district: woman killed, 10 injured

On the evening of July 4, the Russian army fired twice at the Novohrodivka community in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region, killing one person and injuring 10.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.

"In Zavitne village, Russians killed a 55-year-old woman with a drone.

Novohrodivka was hit twice: first, the Russians hit a two-story building with an FPV drone and later fired at the center of the town with Uragan multiple rocket launchers.

Among the injured are four children. All the victims were taken to the hospital," wrote Filashkin.

He also added that three high-rise buildings, two administrative buildings, and a coffee shop were damaged.

Later, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported 10 injured as a result of the shelling, including five minors.

According to the investigation, on July 4, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., the Russian Armed Forces fired on a two-story residential building in the town of Novohrodivka using an FPV drone. A married couple was injured as a result of a munition hit.

An hour later, the enemy struck again at the settlement. This time they used Uragan multiple rocket launchers. Young men aged 18 and 20, three 17-year-old boys, and two 14-year-old girls were injured.

The army of the aggressor state also attacked the town of Ukrainsk with a multiple rocket launcher system. A woman was injured.

The victims were provided with medical assistance. The final number of victims is being clarified. Apartment buildings, garages, administrative buildings, and cafes were damaged in the towns.

As Ukrinform reported, two people were killed in the Donetsk region as a result of shelling by the Russian army of Mykhailivka village, including a 12-year-old boy. Another person was injured.
