In Russia’s Voronezh region, a fire broke out at an “explosive objects" depot after a drone attack on the night of July 7.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Astra Telegram channel with reference to the governor of the Voronezh region, Aleksander Gusev.

Gusev said that Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down several drones over the territory of the region. The falling debris caused a fire at one of the depots, he said.

"The detonation of explosive objects began in the Podgorensky district. According to preliminary data, no one was injured," the governor said in a statement.

The Telegram channel also posted footage from the scene, where the sounds of detonation can be heard.

Gusev later said that an emergency situation had been declared within the settlement where the drone attack took place and that the evacuation of local residents had begun.

Gusev did not name the settlement, but according to local residents, it is Sergeyevka.

"The detonation of explosive objects continues. As a result of one of the explosions, an outbuilding of a residential building caught fire," said Gusev.

As Ukrinform reported, the day before, a fire broke out at an oil depot in Leningradskaya rural locality in Russia’s Krasnodar region following a drone attack.
