During his first visit to Ukraine, Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp discussed the transfer of an additional Patriot air defense system and a forensic laboratory.

This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at a joint briefing with Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp in Kyiv, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I would like to express my gratitude for the initiative to provide Ukraine with an additional Patriot system. Today we have discussed how this initiative will be implemented and the expected timeframe for the delivery of this system to Ukraine," he said.

Kuleba reminded that two Patriot launchers from the Netherlands have been protecting Ukrainian skies since 2023.

The Foreign Minister noted the decision of the Netherlands to purchase weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers and called on all governments of partner countries to follow this path.

The minister added that the Netherlands remains a leader in bringing Russian criminals to justice and establishing a compensation mechanism to pay for the damage caused by the Russians.

Veldkamp, for his part, assured that Ukraine could continue to count on the Netherlands with the new government and announced the allocation of €2 million to increase our country's capacity to conduct forensic research and identify bodies.

As reported, the newly appointed Dutch Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense Caspar Veldkamp and Ruben Brekelmans visited Ukraine.
