July 9 declared Day of Mourning in Kyiv

Kyiv city authorities have declared July 9 a Day of Mourning due to the Russian missile attack on July 8.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko wrote about this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The city authorities declare July 9 a Day of Mourning in the capital due to Russia's terrorist attack on civilian objects in Kyiv. On this day, flags on all municipal buildings in the city will be at half-mast. It is also recommended to lower the state flags on public and private buildings," the mayor wrote.

He noted that on July 9, any entertainment events will be banned in the city.

Klychko will ask TV channels and radio stations to make appropriate changes to their broadcasting schedules.

"The debris removal in the capital continues. Preliminary, 20 people died in Kyiv. Almost 100 people were injured," he added.

As reported, on the morning of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing 38 missiles.
