Liashko: New building of Okhmatdyt can be restored within three months
This was stated by Health Minister Viktor Liashko on the air of the United News telethon, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"It's too early to talk (about the timing - ed.), but even today's information is much more optimistic than what we had yesterday. And if we manage to restore the power supply, the department will be restored one by one. As for the new building, I would not like to talk about the timing now, because we understand that when construction work begins, there may be hidden damage that is not visible visually. But within two or three months of construction work, we can restore this new building," said Liashko.
He noted that the situation with other hospital buildings is more complicated.
As Ukrinform reported, on Monday, July 8, Russia launched missile attacks on Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and other cities in Ukraine. In the capital, one of the missiles hit the building of the Okhmatdyt children's hospital. Two floors of the hospital's building, covering an area of approximately 400 square meters, were destroyed. Several other buildings were damaged.
The Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 100 million from the state budget reserve fund for priority reconstruction work at Okhmatdyt.
