Lubinets: We working on second exchange of women prisoners
Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, said this, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"According to our information, more than 400 Ukrainian women remain in Russian captivity as prisoners of war. We have repeatedly raised this issue, and I personally spoke with Moskalkova (Russian Ombudsman - ed.) to organize a separate exchange for the return of women," Lubinets said.
He recalled that during a meeting with Moskalkova in October 2022, they managed to reach an agreement and 108 of our women were returned to Ukraine.
"We are working to organize the second such large exchange, where Ukrainian women, Ukrainian female heroes, will return. The United Arab Emirates is helping us. We can say this publicly," Lubinets added.
As Ukrinform reported, on October 17, 2022, 108 women returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity.
