Two civilians injured as Russian troops attack Sumy region's border area with drones
The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“On July 11, 2024, at about 7:00 a.m., using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the occupiers attacked the civilian infrastructure of Seredyna-Buda in the Shostka district with FPV drones. As a result, a residential building caught fire,” the report says.
It is noted that the enemy used an FPV drone again in the area when local residents came to extinguish the fire. Two men, aged 55 and 56, received shrapnel wounds.
Under the procedural guidance of the Shostka District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) has been launched.
As Ukrinform reported, on the night and morning of July 10, Russian troops twice shelled the border communities of the Sumy region, with four explosions recorded.
