Ukraine has plan to win war against Russia, more weapons needed - Umerov
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said this in an interview with the American TV channel Fox News, Ukrinform reports.
"We can win. We have a plan. We say publicly that we need more weapons. And the hesitance to transfer these weapons and the hesitance to give Ukraine permission [to strike targets in Russia] takes time, and time is decisive. But we can do it [win]," he said.
According to him, Ukraine will use permission to hit only military targets inside Russia.
"Russia has already escalated this war. They don't focus on the people, so they strike hospitals, they strike civilian places. We want to protect people. We want to hit only military targets [in Russia]. They hit our cities and critical infrastructure, killing people. That's why we need more air defense and weapons to protect our people," Umerov added.
