Over 2,500 enemy attacks on settlements recorded in Donetsk region in past day
This was reported by the main department of the National Police in the Donetsk region, according to Ukrinform.
“Police recorded 2,559 enemy hits in the region. Russia attacked 16 settlements: the cities of Kurakhove, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Siversk, Toretsk, Ukrainsk, the villages of Rayhorodok, Shcherbynivka, Yampil, the villages of Izmailivka, Yelyzavetivka, Kostiantynopilske, Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Novoselivka Persha, and Romanivka," the statement said.
According to police, 108 civilian objects were damaged, including 69 residential buildings, 4 educational institutions, businesses, a shop, outbuildings, vehicles, power grids, and a field of wheat.
The aggressor dropped five UMPB D-30SN aerial bombs on the city of Myrnohrad, killing a 15-year-old boy and injuring 13 civilians, including two children aged 14. The air strike destroyed 50 houses, 10 outbuildings, 2 educational institutions, a shop, and cars.
Russians shelled the village of Rayhorodok with Tornado-S MLRS, killing one person and injuring three others. As many as 14 private houses were damaged.
In the town of Siversk, Russian shelling killed a civilian and injured two other residents. The same situation occurred in Novoselivka Persha: one was killed and two wounded.
The occupiers hit the town of Lyman with two KAB-500 and KAB-250 bombs, injuring one man, damaging an apartment building, an educational institution, and nine outbuildings.
The police received information about the death of two residents of Chasiv Yar following the enemy shelling on July 10.
In addition, at 4 a.m. today, Russian troops attacked the village of Leonidivka with artillery, injuring a civilian.
The police and the SBU opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It is noted that with the assistance of the police, another 157 people were evacuated, including 20 children. Since the beginning of the mandatory evacuation, 175,107 people, including 20,807 children and 7,110 people with disabilities, have been evacuated.
As reported by Ukrinform, on July 11, Russian invaders killed four residents of the Donetsk region and injured 21 others.
