Ukraine's presidential aide explains meaning of 'strikes deep inside Russia'

He said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"What is a true meaning behind the term 'strikes deep inside Russia'? Of course, we are not talking about symbolic, demonstrative single strikes for the sake of strikes... This is about systemic destruction, first of all, of air bases where strategic aviation is based, which in turn carries out deliberate massive strikes against the civilian population and civilian objects of Ukraine. This is also the destruction of infrastructure and war support. This is the destruction of military production facilities and places where resources are accumulated," Podolyak said.

According to him, the correct strategy involves the weakening of Russia in three directions - increasing the cost of war, destruction of logistics and lengthening the time of supply of resources on the battlefield and overall reduction of resources.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated at a press conference in Washington on July 11 that Ukraine has a legal right to use weapons that it received from partners to strike legitimate targets inside Russia as part of repelling Russian aggression.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on the United States to lift restrictions on strikes against military facilities in Russia, particularly air bases.
