War update: 109 clashes in Ukraine since day-start as fighting ongoing in nine axes

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

"Our defense forces continue to actively repel Russian aggressors, incurring significant losses on their manpower and equipment. A total of 109 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of the day," the report reads.

According to the General Staff, settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions near the border with Russia are subjected to enemy artillery fire. The localities of Khodyne, Karpovychi, Hrabovske, Zapsillia, Hirsk, and Mohrytsia were fired at by barrel artillery and multiple rocket launchers.

At the same time, Kharkiv region remains under constant bombardment by enemy aircraft. Today, from the Russian cities of Belgorod and Shebekino, terrorists launched eight airstrikes using 18 gliding bombs, and also targeted the areas of Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Starytsia, and Mali Prokhody.

Kharkiv axis: the invaders attacked Ukraine’s defense lines near Vovchansk and Hlyboke 13 times. Defense forces have repelled 10 attacks, with three more ongoing.

Kupiansk axis:  the enemy went for 11 assaults near Synkivka, Vilshany, Petropavlivka, Novoselivka, Berestove, and Stelmakhivka. Four engagements are over, seven more are in progress. The greatest concentration of enemy efforts is being observed in the Berestove area.

Lyman axis: the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions near Makiivka, Hrekivka, and Terny 15 times. Defense forces repelled 10 assaults while five more are ongoing.

Siversk axis: Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled four attacks near Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamiansk. Three more clashes continue in the Rozdolivka and Spirne areas.

Kramatorsk axis: the invaders executed assaults six times near Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, Andriivka, and Klishchiivka. Three battles have ended and three more are in progress.

Toretsk axis: the enemy attacked seven times near Pivnichne, Toretsk, and New York. Six battles ended without success for the Russians, and one more engagement continues.

Pokrovsk axis: since the beginning of the day, the invaders have made the largest number of attempts to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Kalynove, Prohres, Novoselivka Persha, Lozuvatske, Novo-oleksandrivka, and Yasnobrodivka. The defense forces restrained the onslaught, having repelled 17 attacks, but seven clashes are still ongoing. Enemy losses are being verified.

Kurakhove axis: the enemy attacked nine times near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Pobieda. Seven battles have ended, two are still ongoing.

Vremivka axis: Russian invaders became significantly more active, trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses near Urozhaine, Makariv, Kostiantynivka, and Velyka Novosilka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 assaults, and another attack continues in the Vodiane area.

According to the General Staff, the situation in other axes has not changed significantly.
