According to the official, the operational situation in Chernihiv and Sumy regions is not undergoing significant changes. Also, the enemy follows the previous tactic of shelling populated areas from across the border.
"Enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups remain active. When launching strikes, the enemy employs the entire arsenal of weapons available, mostly artillery of various calibers, FPV drones, and attack UAVs. They also occasionally resort to air strikes as their warplanes and helicopters launch guided and unguided bombs," added the spokesman.
He noted that the Defense Forces are working to spot all enemy attempts to penetrate Ukraine’s territory. Ukrainian troops are also trying to control the movement of Russian military equipment near the border and inflict damage on their forces.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the operational situation on the border with Russia within Sumy and Chernihiv regions remains tense but controlled by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
